One of the digs against audiophile records is that the craving for sonic purity leaves good music as a second priority. In other words, audiophile recordings are b-o-r-i-n-g.

Not this one! This is one great sounding hybrid SACD that you can play at a party and have the place grooving in a nice mellow way.

The artists are relative unknowns - like great local talent you might hear in a jazz club or lounge. While they can sound something like a big name artist, their own personality shines through and they make the song their own.

And best of all, it is great fun!

The sound (in stereo) is up front and intimate plus clear and smooth like it was recorded in DSD (although there are almost no liner notes.)

Added points for being a bargain at $10 from the publisher. I've gotten two others in the series and enjoy them all.
