Swedish classical music label's BIS "Opening Doors" series is good way to listen Romantic music's classics: Swedisch Chamber Orchestra's playing is fresh and clear. These performances of Schumann's Second and Fourth Symphony are vivid. Second Symphony's beautiful slow movement is performed very well, and symphony's energic and happy last movement is stunning: timpani's solos are very effective. Fourt Symphony sounds also very good. There is original, 1841 version of this symphony. I like this fresh album, and I can recommend this to everyone, who like Schumann's music. Recording balance is very good.
