I love this album, as it is very easy listening, and beautiful music for me. Andrea is a great singer, and his voice really comes out very good on this sacd. I do warmly recoomend this fantastic album.

Andrea Bocelli shot to fame in my home county (the Netherlands) when one of his songs was used in a pasta commercial. Nobody ever heard of this guy outside of Italia (and as I found out later Germany) but he made quiet an impression.
His melodic way of singing of a combination off pop and Opera in arguably the most musical language in the world caught the imagination of a lot of people. People were dreaming away with thoughts of the Italian landscapes, drinking wine eating pasta.
The company which used the song and local radio stations got some many requests for this song his record company decided to bring out his album and release the songs as a single.

Unlike the rest of the world Andrea Bocelli was never seen as a classical singer. For us he was just a guy using an Opera approach for his popular music. I didn’t like his step into “serious classical music” and as it seems a lot of classical lovers agree with me. He’s the kind of artist record companies try to force onto the public to make them cross over buyers of classical music.

This album is a return to what I liked him for, popular, melodic music. Kind of easy listening with an edge. The dreaming of Italian landscapes, in particular Toscani, eating pasta and drinking wine is back :)

No really sure about the quality of the sound, sounds a bit digital sometimes, but overall still good enough to get four stars.
