Performance:   Sonics:
This is the kind of album which looks great, when you see the play list. But that and the fact the proceeds go to a good cause is the only thing that’s good about the album.
The performances on the album are bland, the band that plays along with most artist is at best below average and the track selection makes you want to go for the skip button a little to often. The fact that two guys did the mastering and they both clearly have another approach doesn’t help much either.

Highlights for me are the performances by David Bowie, James Taylor and Paul McCartney, the rest of the guys on here should have just donated money to the cause and stayed at home.
The album is a registration of a historical event and money made by it does go to the victims of September 9 so buying it would hurt anyone.

Giving this discs points is very hard. Some tracks are mastered great, some are crap. The same goes for the performances. Take my points as an average.
