If you like soft jazz that is instrumental and somewhat progressive in nature then perhaps you might be willing to take a chance on this new Shm-Sacd. The whole album is very mellow as well.

Carlton is a terrific guitarist who can play excellent electric guitar. The guy can jam.

This transfer was issued by Warner Bros. and this was Dsd recorded from the 24/192 pcm files. Apparently Warner still feels they are producing Dvd -Audio and not full- fledged sacd's. I have no doubt that this title would sound even better as a truthful dsd recorded disc.

Regardless the sound is still awesome if not a little reserved. I have to say this might be the first Hi-rez title I own whose origins are pcm but that has NO compression at all. In fact the sound is very mellow..........almost restrained by comparison. I have to turn the volume way up. And I beleive this makes an enormous impact in why I recommend this shm-sacd.
The sound is full bodied with some warmth to it. Something I do not associate with pcm material.

It's difficult for me to explain what kind of music is found on this disc. I would ask you to sample this album on Amazon to see if you like it.

I think the music is awesome and thats why I bought this particular disc.

Great job and highly recommended.
