A terrific English prog/ rock/ folk album from 1975. This album features 43 minutes of music and 16 tracks.

Music wise this is an interesting hogde podge of tones and feelings which essentially, through music and instrumentals tells the story of some sort of sojourn the character is experiencing. It can be whimsical or emotional depending on the track. The entire journey is rather good as a listen. Alot of the music can sound rather ethereal and gives this unique album its distinctive charm.

This shm sacd is made from a good tape source which has very light tape hiss and no compression. It has the character of analogue tape when you listen to it which is always what makes these shm sacd's so great. There is terrific musicianship on this disc with some terrific lead guitar solo's that sound gorgeous. Classic rock indeed.

While I feel the sonics are really rather good on this particular disc I am holding off on 5 stars for one little reason. This probably wont matter much to some listeners but the actual recording is odd. Many tracks seem to be recorded rather lighly (restrained) with not much punch to them.....while other tracks sound so much fuller, richer and with more impact. For me its a little distracting. Overall this is an excellent disc and the sound is great.

This is a good cult rock album from the 70's and an excellent dsd transfer. I would consider this a very, very good shm sacd for your collection.

Highly recommend.

I must admit that the whole Camel was recorded a little tough and catchy, especially be heard on CD. SAСD catchiness solves the problem. Sound transmission is very careful with the air around the instruments. I'd love to see the entire early Camel in this format.
