| I have his Mahler 2 which I find beautifully recorded, and without a doubt having the most breathtaking finale of any Mahler 2 I've ever heard, but the whole thing didn't zing me enough to persue his others---especially at the price. | Got this yesterday--- I think it's my 16th Mahler 4. Perhaps I need rehab. Very interesting, well recorded. It doesn't come anywhere near Fischer on Channel Classics, but what does? Right now I would personally rank my favorite Mahler 4's: Fischer (way on top), Szell, Gielen, Gergiev, Boulez, Horenstein, Kletzki. As with all Mahler symphonies, I ... more | |

| Got this today! Lovely. I have now 8 or so recordings of the Barber, but none of the other works. All are very fine. The sound is great. This is a "world" view of the Barber, and while it may not supplant some others in my pantheon, I don't think I would ever want to be without it. Thanks Robert for another winner. ... more | |
