I got my Polk Audio speakers on Friday and what a difference they make. A lot more midrange makes everything sound fuller. Another good 5.1 SACD is Dire Straits' Brothers In Arms. The drums on Money for Nothing are the best! ... more | |

I just got my 910 yesterday and hooked it up. Tremendous machine! I finally got to hear some Floyd and Dire Straits SACD in 5.1. I also got it to play my dts CDs. The only thing left is to hook up my old DVD player so that I can play DVD-Audio discs in 5.1 (or at all for that matter!) since the PS3 won't do that. I might even try a Blu-Ray in it ... more | |

The coax is for a separate SACD/CD player that you might have purchased before a PS3. Since you can relabel anything on the receiver, it's really just another set of inputs. ... more | |

Correct. I removed the optical cable and I never had any RCA jacks connected. I'll make sure it's on bitstream and double check the DAC. Thanks for your help! I found out on another tech site (agora) that my Sony receiver (STR-DG710) will only do SACD in stereo. You'd think that's something they might have put in their manual or on the Sony site. ... more |
