I am sorry to say that this "SACD" might as well have been a MC/cassette or 8-Track release. It is easily the most flat, dull, boxy, and, yes, *digital* sounding release in my collection. Although I am by no means a Deep Purple fan (by any stretch of the imagination), I picked up this release on the basis of its good reviews--and I have to say I was *not* disappointed! It is easily one of the best-sounding DSD remasters I have in my collection (as good as DSOTM; if not even better.) ... more

Important SACD release. Sonics are excellent and the overall performance (albeit short) is top notch. This is a "clean" electronica album, as opposed to some of TDs other stuff (i.e, no guitars or drums). I just hope there is a chance we'll see some of the rest of their catalogue released on this ... more

I have most of the Deluxe SACD DM versions and I can say that they are among the best sounding in my collection--especially Violator & Music for the Masses. So they must have been using the redbook versions to come to that conclusion (after all; most aren't even aware there is/was? an alternative...) :/ ... more
