Very interesting conclusion because this is how I finally expect the sound from these SACD releases. I have ordered the entire batch and are counting the days until I get them delivered. I also hope that the commercial success will be big enough to convince Decca to continue with the MLP series perhaps even in shorter intervals. Kind Regards. - ... more | |

Hi Claude, thanks for the link to the covers, however, in my opinion the cover art looks awful. Why not using the original covers in fullsize and simply put the SACD logo on it. Anyway, can't wait to put them into my player.:-) Kind regards. - Wilfried ... more | |

I think the release policy of the labels is a bigger mystery than shown in any X-Files episode:-). By the way the mastertape quality is only 24/44! This is also true for the Mahler/Boulez release. I have a couple of the Living Stereo operas on CD and would love to replace them with SACDs. According to the photos in the liner notes these performances were captured with more than 3 mikes so also multichannel mixes seem possible. Puccini's Turandot with Leinsdorf and Price on multichannel SACD? I hope it will not remain a dream.:-) Kind ... more |
