WOW!!! I just got it today and am amazed at the clarity and full sound of this 2.1 hybrid. I love it. It's the best version I've ever heard. Now if they'd just put it out in 5.1 surround (like Fragile), it would be perfect for my system. Highly recommend.

I don't own many, but I do own about 50+ SACD's & 20+ DVD-A's and all Peter Gabriel's albums out on SACD. Saying that, this is one of my very favorite SACD's overall and definitely my favorite Peter Gabriel SACD. First off, it's the only one that's in 5.1 surround and boy is is immersive and rich in ... more

This disc sounds fine, but not nearly worth the price for multi-channel vs. MoFi's stereo SACD. There are a few songs (like 3-4) where the surround sound is very cool and what I was hoping for (like Carly Simon's voice going around the room on one track). However, the majority of this album just ... more

This is my favorite James Taylor album. However, I was very disappointed with the lack of sound from the rears. There was just very little surround sound happening on this disc. Clarity was fine, but this disc was bought for the 5.1 surround sound. I did not think it is any better than Mofi's stereo ... more

This album is full, rich, and obviously multi-channel surround. I could not be happier with this disc. Sonically, it's almost perfect. It's right up there with the Elton John and Pink Floyd mixes. I love it. The mixing engineer who did this SACD needs to teach other engineers how to mix a surround ... more

I just bought the SHM-SACD from CDJapan. I haven't received it yet, so I don't know how it sounds, but I'm looking forward to hearing the very best 2.1 version ever (hopefully!). If/when it comes out in 5.1 blu-ray, I'll probably get that too. I didn't buy the Immersion Box set, as it just seemed like a whole bunch of crap that I didn't need and ... more
Discussion: Yes: Fragile

I just got the Fragile DVD-Audio and honestly was not too impressed. I only have around 15 SACD's and one other DVD-Audio (Tom Petty Damn the Torpedoes), as I just got my Oppo player around 2 months ago. Fragile is arguably my favorite rock album of all-time, so I don't know what to think. I've loved every SACD I've bought, but didn't like either ... more
