Well, it's not an easy to listen record. Paul Bley and the percussionist with him are improvising and exploring sounds. Not really jazz, not really actual music. Good to listen in late night with all lights off. Sound quality is excellent.
This is another jewel from the Miles Quintet of 67-68 period. Like a synthesis of 'Nefertiti' and 'sorcerer'. Like with the 2 others, you will hear those long flows of music, like travels in sound and harmonics. 'Filles de Kilimanjaro' the fourth song, is like a bridge to later record more jazz-rock ... more
This is a must for all Miles lovers - and also a switch to what Miles music will go to after this period. This is also one of the best band Miles had with him. Sound quality is outstanding - seems that the record was made today.
