Analogue Productions decision to give this album the SACD treatment seems an odd one to me. Phoebe has not been anything close to being a major artist. What a shock this one was when I put it on. I was expecting something at least vaguely reminiscent of the thin and trebly sounding presentation of yore. That is not what you get here. For Starters this is a excellent transfer from Rob Loverde at Mofi. Love it or hate it this has that classic 80's pop production. The recording was cleaned and buffed to within an inch of it's life back when it was recorded. If you like your music with an organic presentation look elsewhere. There ... more

I feel a bit like Mr Jones when contemplating this.... The first point to note is that this IS NOT labelled as an 'Original Master Recording'.
