So Esoteric have taken on their second genre, Jazz or should that be Classical Jazz in keeping with the classical theme.

This is deserving of a review. First this is not the complete ballet scores but excerpts. Karajan never conducted or recorded any of Tchaikovsky's ballets in full as far as I know. This is a high-res release of an original CD from the Decca Legends series.

Here is my simple review. I have a number of Mozart Requiem recordings including the other Linn Scottish Chamber Orchestra/Mackerras recording.
This release from Dunedin is very nice and I fell into its spell very quickly. I much prefer it to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra/Mackerra recording.

I would also concur with progboy but would add that the set also has a multichannel 5.1 layer. For many tracks it works well opening up the soundstage but for for a few it sounds a bit like your listening to your sound system in a concert hall.
