Not much to add after Geohominid: simply pleasures and natural melodical attitude of Askenazy proving his ongoing interest for melody at first place. Performance stands out. Technically belongs amongst finest EXTON releases. Not very strong with basses, but I like that lightwieghting symphony. ... more

Yesterdays critical listening of this unique piece of work has proved and revealed this one simple thing: SA-CD is definitely more dedicated format for the classical music than DVD-A. This one really stands out! I have the 3 disc version and must admit what is pretty well known already: SACD sound is better than DVD-A (technically). DVD-Audio of the same performance sounds colder than SA-CD (on hybrid electrostates) with THX ULTRA 2 7.1ch load. EXTON deserves ********** stars for ... more

I can compare this release only to previous release by BMG Sony with Tilson and only Nocturnes and La Mer. Les Arts Nouveaux and Belle Epoque are my most beloved epochs in music.
