John Lennon: Rock 'N' Roll SHM SACD Stereo Only. Japanese release 12-3-2014.

Hopefully this review will be taken in stride with Rickko's review.
Riccko is my favorite reviewer on and I find it unnecessary to double up on his fine review.

Lets Back Up A Bit: CDJapan released The Beatles catalouge in SHM-CD, cardboard sleeve mini LP's, and sold out in about a month. I wanted to get all but missed out and was only able to get half. Then CDJapan releases John Lennon's catalog and I wanted to have a full set, which I was able to accomplish.

Performance: I do not really like early rock n roll of this type as it is primarily before my time. This song selection and how it was performed was not that great for me.

Stereo Sonics: Nothing really grabbed me as "oh my God" you have to hear this. This is due to my lack of enthusiasm of the performance which then bleeds down to me not really being thrilled with the sonic presence. That said, disc is clear, great stereo separation, volume can be up or down, doesn't really effect anything.

Packaging: Cardboard mini LP of original. Did you know the three blurred figures in photo are George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Stu Sutcliffe. Mini booklet with all Japanese writing and English Lyrics. Green disc.

I am glad I have it as it is part of my SHM SACD John Lennon collection, but that is about it.
