Performance:   Sonics:
Big Suprise ,A rewarding varied musical item comprising excerpts from the 6 hour plus third part of the trilogy (Love Story? set in Germany)of which I had not the first clue about.Subtitles Chronicles of Endings and Beginings.
The disc starts with an Excellent Overture/Choral which would not be out of place in a Hollywood Movie and then contains some Chamber Music,an orchestral piece, two Delightful folksongs by Berio (Honest) 6 pleasant solo guitar pieces ,A standout Cabaret song Maybe This Time, Leider from Schummann Leiderkreis etc Purcell Dido and Aeneoas. 2 experimental Punk electronic works and a few
tracks that are soundtrack modern music akin to a Didgiridoo/flute.Almost avante garde but easy to absorb. This covers most of it?.One track is as long as 5 and a half minutes and the remainder under 4.So any of the tracks are unlikely to outstay their welcome.
At the end of several enjoyable listenings I was tempted to find out a little more about the multi talented singer of most pieces Salome Kammer and the composers as well as the film itself.
Sonic quality is eith DSD or Analogue , it is that good. though I would have preferred a concert Hall setting for the two leider items but being presented closer up didnt cause a also has surround layer.
Performances are by the original artists and mostly excellent.I possibly could have asked for a better guitarist if I was cornered.
Not for the faint hearted but very reqarding.Booklet in German English French Italian and a superjewel case.
