This album is a mixture of styles from celtic, through jazz to contemporary. And what an excellent album. On first listen 'Conway Bay' immediately captures you wetting your appitite. It is an eclectic mix with some surprises but it just grows and grows on you. All the words and music are written by Judith Owen who has a very beautiful voice. I do particularly like 'My Father's Voice', a very beautiful, moving song. Sonically it's superb. The CD layer sounds great in the car but for full encapsulation the SACD 5.1 is wonderfull - hey it's Linn need I say more.
I highly recommend this SACD but if you want more go to Linn Records web site and have a listen: http://www.linnrecords.com/recording-happy-this-way.aspx
