Thanks both for that. So do I.

Please, however, note that the deliveries to Amazon France and Italy may be somewhat delayed because of the hiatus in the distribution world, with both my Italian distributor and the one for BeNeLux and France have declared bankruptcy. For people in those countries, you will therefore be best served by going to Amazon UK or Germany (the one in Germany should have them already now!) or, very soon now, buying directly from our homepage, until such time as the distribution in these countries has been sorted out.

Best - Robert

Yes! I was waiting for this to be posted. Looking forward to it.

Two separate recording resolutions?

Two separate recording resolutions?

In my database it says Tracks 1-5 is 24/44,1, rest (2nd Symphony) 24/96.
Now when I look at the physical SACD, it does say 24/44,1 only.
Need to find this out, but it is Sunday...

More to come - Robert

...and here it is. S1 is 24/44,1. In the meantime up to recording the 2nd symphony, we had seen the light, and so the 2nd Symphony is 24/96.
The booklet states 24/44,1 throughout. It must be our Swedish modesty...

For many years my benchmark "Rustic" has been the Utah/Abravanel's version on Vanguard Classics. But this SACD version is far superior. The Rustic dance-like melodic themes suit the Singapore orchestra's youthful virtuosity to the hilt. I am not familar with the 2nd symphony, but surprised to find it as toe-tapping as the former. The sound brings out the best of the Esplanade Hall and is immediate and stunning, you must hear to believe. Full 76mins of listening pleasure. Folks, if you have enough of Mahlers (and they are still coming), hear this for a change please. And rating? Naturally a 10/10!

Too bad the US has to wait a full month more for BIS products. Distributors have changed, but timing is terrible.

The timing wasn't chosen by us. Qualiton just closed their doors and informed me about 20 minutes before going public with it. Me, personally, I think that the change has gone with an amazing speed. We were the first ex-Qualiton label that got another deal - we were the first one to have our entire stock shipped out of Qualiton's warehouse, but, folks, have a heart - we're BIG. Upwards of 2'000 titles in different quantities; many of the CD:s having to be re-packaged, because they had gone back and forth to the shops, setting up the entire 2'000 titles in their computers incl. checking the Harry Fox copyright situation - it isn't done in a jiffy!!! Do give Naxos a break, I know they are working double overtime to fix this with the utmost speed.
