Day one purchase for me. I have the record and love the music, and I am thrilled to see this release in its original coupling.

I much prefer this to the early RCA release; Spain - Leontyne Price.

Not very many versions of El Amor Brujo on SACD. Not sure why you wouldn't want to have the extra music.

Because of the coupling, or the sound, or both? And if because of the sound, I'm all ears (pun intended) - love to hear your thoughts. Have you done an A-B yet?

It says MCH, but probably 3.0?

Because it's got less music ?

Or because you've actually heard it?

Joke's on me.

I thought that the inclusion of El Amor Brujo on the RCA release removed some of the original coupling. My mistake. ;-)) The complete original LP is included.

It's amazing how we forget things in the excitement buying more SACD's.

Thanks for the admission. We see so few of these on this Forum. I would like to express a vote of thanks here to anyone who does!

Anyway, we're all looking forward to these SACDs. Not long to wait, now...

On the separate RCA Living Stereo strand, we are seeing considerable debate now on whether these will - or not - surpass the originals.

I doubt it, and expect merely a different 'flavour'. But I can always be wrong, we all can.

If that's the way it goes, no doubling up for me of repertoire I already have - like this disc. But the ones entirely new to SACD are a different matter, of course.

I have never understood why Reiner's wonderful Iberia was not part of the original LS SACD series - the opening is fabulously atmospheric. I just hope they won't keep us waiting too long for it....

Yes, indeed, it floats timelessly...

But this is one of the newly available SACDs from AP is it not? (says he, checking frantically).

Yes it is (Phew) and already ordered...

The one with the nice Spanish ladies on the cover. Coupled with cool Ravel Alborado and Valses. But not, apparently, listed here yet.

Should be a stand-out, assuming they don't screw with the sound!
