Nice of Amazon to knock 97 cents off the list price. I was hoping Warner Japan would do this one, with the surround mix from the dvd-audio.

Given AF never releases MC products, I guess this hope is nothing but a shiny dream... which I share. Sigh.

I finally got around to spinning this. There are multiple abnormalities/dropouts. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Haven't heard the AF stereo version but at half the price (which I paid for it way back when) the DVD~A in 5.1 MLP is spectacular, hands down, as is the DVD~A 5.1 MLP of Welcome To My Nightmare!

I was always a big fan of Warners DVD~As which is why I have ALL of their output in that format.

Only hope Warner's BD~As carry on that proud tradition (unlike Universal).

Not a single problem with my copy.

Hi Ralph,
The existence of this DVD-A is good news to me, as I never knew this title was available in hi-rez. Just found it... thanks again !!!

Ive not heard this, but many people have noted the issues. Read this...

Steve Hoffman bans IP addresses if you mention the issues on his site. He is the same clown that remastered this Audio Fidelity version.

Quite a controversy in contrast to the DVD~A of Billion Dollar Babies:

DVD~A: Surround Sound Remix produced by Bob Ezrin
Surround Sound Remix: Engineered & Mixed by Gary Lux & Ken Calait @ 5.1 Entertainment
Stereo Mastering: Bill Inglot
Video Bonus: Elected
Audio Interview with Alice Cooper
Photo Gallery/Lyrics

Hopefully, if Warner elects to release BDB on BD~A 5.1/Stereo, THIS would be the version to get, IMHO....and probably a whole lot cheaper if the format takes off.

Yikes.

Interesting that Ezrin was involved with the DVD-A.

Warners was VERY committed back in the day to remixing and remastering for DVD~A 5.1 but, when confronted with the format war with SACD, pulled the plug way too prematurely on the format.

As previously mentioned, the base of DVD~A players was sparse and little or no advertising heralding the "new" format only added to its RAPID demise.

Will be anxious to see if Warners/Rhino has the same commitment should their BD~A launch become a reality!
