"Recording type' is missing.

1998 - so presumably not an analogue recording.
Presumably not a DSD recording (too early for that).
So, presumably it is a 44.1kHz recording ??? So CD resolution plus or minus a few bits. Not sure why this is being offered on SACD. I will make a note to avoid future offerings from this label, though.

Likely to be minus with an unnecessary PCM to DSD conversion (from quality point of view).

Then again it could be a 20 bit master, those recorders from Sony were around at that time if I am not mistaken. WOuld not make real difference, tough.

Unbelievable your logic. You leap from one thing to another without any proof. You make absolutely no sense.

This is why the word "presumably" is used here. He's not asserting anything. He's just asking. Does anyone have the answer ?

He is asserting everything. READ his last sentence or did you forget to read all of his post? It's one thing to presume something, it's quite another to make that presumption the basis for taking the label off of one's list for any future purchases.

Wow, good start of the year, this bickering!

Why bother? I can't imagine that she even comes close to Zoltan Kocsis in the Bartok nor Vadim Gluzman in the Bach, neither musically nor soncically.

There is a second SACD release with 1998 live recordings:

Live in Tokyo 1998 -Schubert, Schumann, J.S.Bach : Chung Kyung-Wha(Vn)Golan(P)

King KKC4009SA

Both were released on CD some months ago:

I think he makes a lot of sense. To understand it requires some background knowledge, though.

I know all about Colin's background on this forum and his continued claims, thank you.
