Let us know what you think about it, Derek. :)

I have the Goldberg Variation SACD, Brett and it IS excellent.

BTW, F Amazon with their so~called Lightning Deals. I actually delayed running an errand to specifically take advantage of one of these 'deals.' I even had my computer set to the disc in question and as soon as the price changed Amazon announced 100% claimed......and I was put on one of those vacuous waiting lists.

And no, I don't stream videos yet, Brett even though I'm an Amazon PRIME member.

I also received the Manfred Honeck Beethoven 5th and 7th Symphonies (Reference Recording) today and will try to give that a spin tonight http://www.hraudio.net/showmusic.php?title=11073

Also received my BD~V (used, in mint condition) of "Mama." Should I be prepared to be scared Silly, Mr. B?

Glowing review. Thanks! We'll keep a look out for it.

And... Wait until the ghostly hour... Then turn the lights off... Mama will be waiting....

I've watched the first two episodes of The man in the high castle on Amazon prime and I'm not swayed by it so far - but it feels like some action and drama is just around the next corner, possibly in the next episode, so I'll keep on watching. If it had been an HBO production, I'm sure I would have been hooked by now, but as it is, I'm getting there, but haven't quite been in awe as yet...

oh, I went for the Goldberg Variations based on the positive reviews and will happily share my enjoyment :)

I was lukewarm on Hannibal for the first 2 or 3 episodes. Then, things started to develop quite nicely. Let's hope Man in the HC gets better too. That's what the commentor said on the link above at any rate. Anyway, I am intrigued because it's based on story by Phillip K. Dick (Bladerunner, Minority Report...)

Yeah with a track record like that, Man in HC should be good. I watched another episode and again it feels like the moment of magic just around the corner...in the next episode...or possibly the one after that lol

I exhort anyone who is in eyeshot of this post to order the incredible Olu Dara "Neighborhoods" (MLP DVD~A 5.1 from Warners).

A friend came over today who frequents Manhattan's Village Vanguard and even he couldn't believe how great this album is.

VERY discrete and audiophile in quality.........Olu Dara Dazzles!

I know the feeling. :) Actually, I am still trying to get into Fargo the series. The same friend who recommended Man in HC loves Fargo. Now, I loved the movie version, but the series has yet to light my fire...still feeling frosty in Minnesota. LOL!

It just arrived...in Indy! LOL! I had it sent to my folks there because they wanted $50 to send it to Japan!!! And only $5 to Indy. Go figure! So, I don't know when I'll be listening to it. Maybe good old Mom will send it to me for Xmas. ;-)

Kiya, Brett......$50 for ONE disc! I just had the quickest delivery I've ever had from CDJapan to New York and ONLY paid $9 shipping for 6 discs (including one SHM~SACD in those fancy boxes)!

Listened to the Manfred Honeck Reference Recording of Beethovens 5th and 7th symphonies SACD http://hraudio.net/showmusic.php?title=11073#reviews and the Debussy Sonatas (Pentatone DGG Quad)http://hraudio.net/showmusic.php?title=11113#comments last night. Both absolutely SUPERB performances and exceptional Sound Quality. HIGHEST recommendation.

Also watched Jurassic World last night and it didn't hold a candle to the original which is still the BEST, IMHO, in the series. TOO much CGI and not enough substance.

BTW, one of my favorite HBO series is The Leftovers. A very bizarre yet strangely fascinating 2nd season currently unfolding this season. Definitely worth a look, Brett.

Jethro Tull's "Too Old to Rock 'n Roll, Too Young to die," arrived on my doorstep today and after a cursory audition....another stellar Steve Wilson 5.1 remix......albeit in DTS and DD with the always exceptional 96/24 Stereo remix which unfortunaterly trumps the lossy audio codec.

A beautiful booklet and 2 chock full RBCDs and an additional DVD~V (with additional SW 5.1 remixes) completes the package.

December 2015 promises to be another slam dunk 4.0 and 5.1 audio fest: Forthcoming.....THRAK (DVD~A 5.1), the latest King Crimson remaster, Judy Collins: Colors of the Day (QUAD SACD from AF) and Alice Cooper's muich anticipated Muscle of Love (AF/QUAD SACD), the Allman's Idlewild South 5.1 remix (from AmazonUK) and Roger Waters The Wall (documentary) on BD~V.

May 2016 continue the trend of releasing music in both 5.1 and 4.0.

I only wish EVERYTHING was LOSSLESS.........
