I got it from the genesis web site. www.genesis-music.com If you go to the forum section there is a part for Nick Davis. He is the guy who is remastering the Genesis album in SACD. He is giving status of where he his. Very interesting.
I also know that the tribute band The Musical Box had a chance to listen to the sourround mix of Lamb Lies Down and Selling England By The Pound and they discovered new sound and new things... I guess they are lucky...
Hope we will have the chance to hear that soon. There is a lot of speculation that the full catalogue could be out next year (2007) for the 40th anniversary of Genesis...
I'd like to make a correction to that 'remastering' part. The 5.1 surround albums that will be released are actually been completely re-mixed from the original multi-track recordings, not remastered... big difference! Also, We understand that albums A Trick of the Tail thru Abacab are due out soon. There is a bit of a decision involved as to what format. More then likely DVD (DTS sound) at this time... perhaps a hi-rez format in the future.

If they release it on DVD, what will be the video part? Or will that be an audio-only DVD (a format that is even more "niche" than SACD and DVD-A)?

Please, please let this happen! After the Björk fiasco I need something to look forward to in rock/pop SACD releases!

Yes indeed, but what is DVD-D?
The disposable DVD?
