Is anybody in the loop on the fate of this label. We heard a plaintiff crie de couer from them months ago and sadly no new discs have emerged since. RIP?

I was rather fond of Igor Tchetuev's Beethoven Sonata survey.

Their website is still alive but has not been updated since 2012.

I have Tchetuev Beethoven sonatas volumes 1-5, was not able to obtain the last one, volume 6.
The last time that we discussed the label, its rep “Misha” assured us that all is well and to expect new releases including more LVB sonatas, but not much has happened.

You can still find some of the harpsichord performances by Olga Martynova, beautiful performances.

I have Tchetuev Beethoven sonatas volumes 1-6, and I like them very much. I bought volume 6 via JPC. I am waiting for the continuation, but know nothing
about new releases since 2012.

I agree with the opinion that the recordings by Olga Martynova are excellent, I have most of them.

The Founder and General Director of Caro Mitis was featured in last weekend's Native DSD eNewsletter and Facebook page announcing the label's first 4 Stereo and Multichannel DSD Downloads on that music downloads site. He said: "I'm happy to announce that Caro Mitis DSD recordings are now available on Native DSD. We hope, the number of our dedicated customers will increase and leading performers of the label will become even more broadly known worldwide. Enjoy!"

So Caro Mitis lives on.

Does that mean they are switching to downloads only? If so, that's sad news for us confirmed disc lovers!

I don't know. But it is another way for Caro Mitis to get their DSD recordings out there.

If Igor Tchetuev records Beethoven's late sonatas, then I might spring for a download, but that's about it.

If they have decided to go downloads only, I hope that they have done their homework, who knows perhaps grass is greener on the other side but I have my doubts about it.

As for me if they go downloads only, thanks but no thanks.

Perhaps both sides can peacefully coexist! :)

Actually, the only way I will be purchasing any type of audio media from this point is via download, as I just don't have the shelf space to give up to physical audio media.

My latest acquisition is:
The Argentinian Album - Thompson

... via Native DSD, which went quite well. Once you log on and complete your order, that web page graphically shows order progression in 4-5 steps until the order is complete. Takes < 5 minutes until your order is ready for download.

Well done, Native DSD.com.
