I am looking to get a copy of the Die Walkure Recording from Melba. I was wondering if any other Canadians managed to secure a copy. I do not shop with Amazon because they do not use the Verisign system.

I see that MyMusic have it listed, but according to the listing, the Availability is Unknown. My thought is that if MyMusic cannot get me one, then is there another vendor here in Canada who can. I do not want to buy from across the border because the taxman will want some money there.

If I buy from my local retailer, I am almost afraid at what he will charge and how long it may take. I realise this is a specialty item, but I would like to get it for a reasonable price and without too much trouble.

I live in Moncton, New Brunswick and the shops here are not very good at getting special items like this.

As long as you don't exceed a certain treshold per order (about 175$), CDUniverse will ship via Deutsche Post Global Something or Other.

That means that, in Montreal, I get my CDs from CDUniverse about seven days after they shipped... except they were mailed in Mississauga with a Canadian shipping label. So no taxes.
(Ooops! Hope Canada Customs doesn't visit SA-CD.net too often.)

I ordered it from an online vendor here in Canada and it has been shipped! Can't wait to hear this over the holidays!

Similar experience. One out of every seven or so shipments gets the full treatment (sales tax PLUS $5 handling fee... ouch!). But if you can't get a disc from anywhere else, try laura@touchbasscanada.com -- she works miracles.
