Which disk shows off or demonstrates your SACD system the best and why?

My pick would be Boccherini: Guitar quintet with Rolf Lislevand and Les Concert des nations. Normally when the guitar is recorded together with other instruments in classical music I feel that its subtle nuances are either masked over or else the guitar is artificially lifted out of the ensemble by close miking it. In this recording I can hear the full detailed sound of the guitar and in the same time it's a natural part of the ensemble. This is especially prominent in mch mode, and though it still sounds very nice in stereo too, this recording clearly demonstrates that stereo lacks this extra dimension which makes mch so much more realistic and more inspiring to listen to as well.
It should of course be mentioned that the superb musicianship of Lislevand et al. and the equally suberb composition skills of Boccherini must have made it so much easier for the recording engineers to make this one of the best sounding recordings I have ever heard. All the music on this SACD is a pure joy to listen to, but as for the art of recording, the way they managed to capture the guitar is what impresses me most.

Is that this disc?

Boccherini: Fandango & Sinfonias - Savall

Boccherini is woefully under-represented on SACD.

Yes that's the one; and yes he is definitely under-represented. You've got the Stabat mater, which is fantastic music and good performance and recording too, but even that's only stereo, not really close to the full potential of SACD.
