Anyone know how this recording compares to Belohlávek's on Chandos (from both a sound and performance perspective)?

That's life...

No worries. I'll buy that one, too.

Will it be SA-CD? If so, I'm in for one too!

This is a remarkable work. I've had several recordings in my collection over the years but the one I've hung onto is the Neumann with the Czech Philharmonic on a Supraphon RBCD. I can now look forward to adding the BIS SACD! Another great addition Robert.

Don't worry for that, Robert, and don't give it up. If your is also a SACD, I'll buy it too, especially knowing it's the same orchestra that performed your wonderful Seascapes disc. It will be very interesting to compare both performances.

Well, of course we won't give it up - it's already recorded. But you're wrong about the Seascape - that was the Singapore SO. Not far in between, but different orchestras. Both really good.
Best - Robert
PS. Yes, it is an SACD - otherwise I wouldn't have been writing about it on this Forum. BIS-SACD-1776. No firm release date as yet.

I'm not impressed by Ashkenazy as a conductor so I will wait for BIS.
