Hi Everyone,

Here is a link with some sale prices for all IsoMike discs for the sa-cd.net folks, this site will only be good for about a week.

Thanks for the heads~up. Iso-Mike is offering a 35% discount on ALL their selections with a $5 shipping fee within the US. Interestingly enough, all their SACDs are m/c 4.0 (as well as Stereo/cd layer) which is how I configured my secondary audio system eliminating the center and sub (speakers are full range). [average discounted price is $13.62 per disc while the double hybrid SACD of The Fry Street Quartet/Beethoven is $26.62]

Thank you Ray...this is a nice sale and had it not been for your post, I may not have discovered High Altitude Drums. I cannot wait to hear this recording...drum corps on SACD...WOW!

I am new to IsoMike recordings but have been impressed by the reviews...so I took advantage of the sale and splurged on 4 of the commercial releases. I couldn't find any sample clips of the Joe McQueen or Sono Lumina Ensemble SACDs but I took a chance based on the reviews. Perhaps in the future the IsoMike website could have sample clips made available for review (albeit a very incomplete review I'm sure) prior to purchase.

In any case, I am looking forward to receiving these SACDs! Thanks again!
Josh

Dear Mr. Kimber,
Wish thankyou for IsoMike recording in DSD. This is very important to me and to others audiophiles around the world. Quality pay for itself forever.
Just ordered 3 items, this is a no brainer offer. Wish thanks Mr.Brett for the good service.
Regards, Gustavo

I have to say that these are some of the most natural~sounding DSD~ recorded discs in my rather ample SACD collection. The sale is still going on so take advantage. Delivery time in the US was well within a week and they were shipped priority mail. The Dahl, Martinu, Husa "Works for clarinets and strings" is outstanding (4.0 multi-channel/stereo)

I will begin by seconding rammiepie's endorsement of Dahl, Martinu, Husa - Sonolumina Ensemble, and then extend that to ALL ISOMIKE SACDs. I have almost all of them; I don't have High Attitude (yet) nor Demo 2008A). The clarity of the recorded sound is so good that genre and personal taste in music just don't figure. If you don't have any of the IsoMike recordings, please note: these discs are already 'famous' in the SA-CD community here. If, in the future the supply becomes problematic, these discs will be 'legendary'. To my chagrin, I seem to have missed the window of opportunity to acquire the '88 Keys' disc.

The High Altitude Drums multi-channel 4.0 SACD takes full advantage of all four speakers in my 4.0 set-up providing deep bass from all corners of the room. Although (for my taste) the perspective is more distant than one would expect, and the ensuing music may not be to everyone's taste, the 40 minute program does have its charms. This is a pluperfect example of the need to have matched surround speakers in one's audio system. They will positively get a stellar work-out. For $13.62 a no brainer but you better hurry, the sale ends soon!

I recently ordered three discs from the list so I will actually have them all when those arrive. I've found the test discs quite fascinating, musically as well as technically, so the order included the one I didn't have before.

Hello and thank you for your kind comments - certainly you folks are a great motivating factor to continue the IsoMike experiments.

First let me remind you that the sale ends in less than 24 hours and.

The money from the sale of the discs flows back to WSU music programs, not just the profit, but the gross.

So thanks to you all there are new playback sytems in the choral room and we are donating to the system in the dance studio.

Next up are special additions for the choral riser which will allow new configurations of the singers.

This disc is getting very good comments from the forum at drumcorpsplanet.com

Tonight and tomorrow we are recording the WSU Jazz and percussion ensembles.

Kind regards,

Ray
