This would be the 1973 Beethoven and 1976 Haydn recordings (in the Qtt Italiano's second configuration, with Piero Farulli on viola). The Haydn recordings appear to have never been issued on CD.

I quite agree on Quartetto Italiano's mannerisms in the Haydn. The QI did go for the golden and smooth, but I was surprised by their metric 'lilt' here. Perhaps this is what Haydn sounds like to Italians....

Did no other quartet ever record in Quad?
