He complains about tempi but take the Poulenc’s Sonata. The first movement's metronome marking is a quarter note=84 which is pretty much the same tempo Bezaly/Brautigam take. They play 'cantilena' at faster pace than 'Assez lent (a quarter note=52)' may suggest. It sounds less romantic at this tempo. Instead, they bring classical poise to it.
