I've never heard Rumours in any format, but I'm keen to give it a try on SACD or DVD-A. Any other opinions from those who have heard both versions?

I have both and either copy will blow you away (no matter what others say in their reviews). The DVDA I feel has the edge but the SACD is also very good. I'm sure you'll be happy with either. (I think the SACD is based on the DVDA mix anyway. Can't believe Warner had it remixed for the SACD and it is the same for the Eagles, Donald Fagan and the other releases they did from original DVDA releases).
Ok just listened to both again side by side on my OPPO. SACD disc v DVDA 5.1 streaming off a USB drive. There is little to chose between them. As for the SACD reviews about poor vocals mix don't know what they're talking about. Both sound excellent.

I was wondering why the single CD Rumors at Amazon is $40.00 dollars. Is it because it is not in circulation or something special about the audio quality?

DVD~A plays in your DVD player or a player such as my McIntosh that plays all formats.

DVD~A is audio only, many times with still photos, lyrics, and little video clips. etc. You can use your players remote to go through selections but obviously if you want to look at photos and lyrics than a monitor is needed.

I personally have fallen in love with DVD~A and I am always satisfied. Go to Wikipedia to learn more.

DVD is video and sound.

Others can explain better than me but Wikipedia is very good.
