Does anyone know if this release will be in surround? I had the original release, and all the symphonies were issued in the now-defunct SQ quadraphonic LP format. I still have the LP set on old Electrola German pressings...

Terrible... The original mastertapes were Quadro, as in the style of the Pentatone/Philips reissues...

But it's only a mere 200 Euros. If you want surround, you'll have to pay an additional 200 Euros for the surround tracks.

Have Esoteric ever made an MCH release?

Well, I still own the SQ quadraphonic LPs, and the performances are NOT worth that amount of money, in stereo or quad...

So, NO, no plans to buy this set.
