They must have listened to me, because this definitely sounds better than his previous recordings, although to be fair, my new Martin Logan speakers arrived today, but since they are far more revealing than B&Ws, I'm sure I'm hearing all that there is to hear, and it's great! Kostick's performance is one of compelling power and speed in the fast movement (he actually plays them at Beethoven's suggested metronome markings: few pianists do.) The slow movement is almost glacial at 28:42 (the norm is 16:00-19:00 minutes). It is hypnotically beautiful, and amazingly, it's a single, unedited take! If you liked his other recordings, then this certainly one won't disappoint.
