I have been listening to music using STAX headphones (SR 007 and now SR009) for years.
I would like to buy a SACD player.
What SACD player to you recommend?

I have often thought that listening to SACD on hi quality headphones is a great combination. The ones you have mentioned are high performers with low distortion, much lower than many loudspeakers, and such a great way to really let the benefits of SACD come through.

Check out a device called Smythe Realiser if you are interested in experiencing a "speaker" effect through headphones. This can include a multichannel effect if you so desire. You'll have to check out their website for this to make sense.....

I would think most any hi quality 2 channel dedicated SACD player would be fine for you application. Marantz seems to have some nice offerings starting at about $1,000 USD.......but I'm sure others would fine too. Good luck

Go for a dCS player. Definitely the way to play SACDs for me...
