Wine, women and song.....who needs more????

Actually, I do quite enjoy trying different wines. There are a few California producers from whom I buy regularly, but I also frequent restaurants and tasting rooms where they specialize in non-California wine.

Women....well, I'm single.....(divorced twice, though!)

Music is a huge part of my life.

Organic vegetarian food, gym work and playing sports such as football and badminton.

Also I like playing complex WW2 board games with friends, watching interesting documentaries and attending local Classical concerts.

I practice karate (wado ryu)

That sets out your stall perfectly, nobody will dare challenge you! Great idea for a thread.

Passions, indeed but far too many to recall..

Regrets, a few but far too few to mention.

Watching and reading good Science Fiction especially time travel, alternate realities and space exploration.

I'm involved in third party politics, a registered Green Party member and have a blog called "The Economic Democratic Movement of America"

I walk a lot and play guitar but that produces music so it doesn't count.

It would count if I were to attempt to play the guitar - most people wouldn't consider that music! It would be just a load of randomly produced noises, rather than a load of different noises arranged in a particular order.

Astronomy has been my main hobby from day one, for those of you who are petrified of anything science related, NO, this not science, I love the visual aspect of astronomy, viewing Jupiter at high power as it performs its daily dance with Galilean satellites is a pure joy, just to sit down and watch Mama nature at its full glory, one of the few things that is still free, our government has not yet discovered this potential source of income.

Visual astronomy is no different than marveling at Grand Canyon, Yellowstone or anything else here on earth, it’s the beauty of nature here or up there in the sky, nothing comes close!

And, NO, I do not listen to music when I am out there watching, I do not need SACD or Beethoven when I am at the telescope, I much rather listen to crickets, live, in the dark.

Vahe

Me too. I have a 10" Orion, but alas, it's not dark enough in my area for deep space viewing. I'll have to haul my 'scope up to the hills one of these nights...or wait for a blackout!

When you know how easy it is to kill a man (physically) and how much it hurts when one is hit, the the will to fight appeals less and less.

The irony, or the aim(?) of properly practiced martial arts.

I want to build my own house one day, in terms of life goals.

Look forward to recalibrating my set up in my bespoke theatre/listening room.
