Raff. Interesting release and I guess we're going to see this entire series in SACD.

As well as all of Atterberg, of all people, with GSO (though I forgot to ask Järvi if it was for Chandos/on SACD; but I kind of assumed so).
People intrigued by the repertory corners of all sorts are having a field day.

That seems to be the implication, certainly. I'm looking forward to getting to know a broader cross-section of his music.

I have the complete Raff symphonies on Tudor records. It will be interesting to hear the No. 5 especially when compared to it and the Bernard Herrmann recording on Unicorn Kanchana.

All of Atterberg would be quite a lot, some might say way too much. CPO did an Atterberg project some years ago.

I'd be one of them, frankly.

I have just received this one and only listened to a couple of the pieces. The sound is quite good in all respects. As noted in Castor's review, there is a whole page in the booklet devoted to Merging Technologies unveiling of their new Horus product in the making of this recording. I recall that tailspn some time ago mentioned Horus in one of the discussions about recording equipment. Judging from just what I have heard thus far, recorded sound has taken a step up.
