This is a very good disc, although at 44 minutes, it is rather short.

The works contained are a selection of the existing literature of Russian Orthodox Music, and quite a good selection at that.
Tenor Nicolai Gedda sings with great verve and musicality in 3 or 4 of the tracks of the disc.

The sound is very fine, giving a detailed and athmospheric sound of this "a capella" choir.

About the Stereo performance only:
Good performance! You can really hear the working together of the tenor and choir. Good recording with lots of space and feeling for the space where it was recorded.
