Well Destiny's Child are not normally my type of music but when I spotted "Survivor" on Hybrid SACD Format in a record store, I took a chance and bought it. Now I don't own an SACD Hifi system yet but am aware it would play in my car hifi and be fully compatible with such features as CD text-hence the purchase. I'm not exactly an expert on HiFi but it just happened that a good friend of mine manages a local HiFi shop and had just set up a £36k system. So I asked him would it be possible to listen to "Survivor" on it? Well now I know what all the fuss is about. "Survivor" is absolutly awesome. Stunningly clear vocals and exceptional overall quality was the order of the day."Bootylicious" was pure sexual fulfilment, I could hear every little gasp, grunt and moan... The rest of the album carried on in a similar vein and then I ran into a gem called "Happy Face" (track 9) which is my personal favourite. Despite the fact I will listen to it in a non SACD Car Hifi it was worth buying as I now have CD Text Display and exceptional CD both in sound and material. Of course the added benefits of SACD are there should I ever acquire an SACD player. BUY IT!! Even if you are only a nominal fan it is worth twice the price. IMVHO the best sounding SACD I've heard.
