Performance:   Sonics:
This is beautifully played and the recording is superb as usual from Linn. I can't make a comparison to another recording as I don't have one.
I first listened in the car (the CD layer, on the way home after purchasing). My 13 year old son was first to comment on how good it sounded; 'its so clear'. The CD layer is excellent. I then listened to the Multichannel SACD layer, then again, then again. The sonics are excellent. Close your eyes and the surround places you in the centre of the ochestra with Janiczek right in front of you. You can litterly hear him breathing. And this is my only gripe - the breathing. The mic must have been attached to his violin because it is very clear especially on K261 Adagio in E. Saying that it still gets top marks and I would recommend it to all Mozart fans.
