This was a double album that was put on one SACD. It contains some of Dylan's most popular singles at the peak of his popularity including Rainy Day Woman, I Want you, and Just Like a Woman. My favorate cut from this album is Memphis Blues Again. This is classic Dylan. If you like Bob Dylan, you'll like this one. If you don't, you won't. The sonics are fine. I'm sure it's better than the CD.

The Dylan is a worthy companion to any SACD collection imo. I have a few Dylan's on CD and I know he never sounded so good as on this Sony SACD. And the music is just deep, funny, ironic as only Dylan can be, and the guitar riffs are just fantastic. One thing I noticed was that several songs tended to end suddenly. Somehow the fade out was cut off early. I never had this one on LP/CD and I therefore cannot say whether this was introduced on the SACD or not.

I agree with Tom, & can add that the sonics are waaaaay better than the CD, which was thin and harsh-sounding. All the cuts here are standouts, with the exception of the strangely-mixed "Sad Eyed Lady" where one acoustic guitar starts out being panned in the center of the stereo mix and pops up from time to time in the far left channel (maybe bleed-over from somebody's headphones during the recording of the song?).

Good as this stereo re-mix is, though, I expect the hybrid re-issue's 5.1 mix to be really revealing. I also expect that the 2.0 mix will be the same as the previous SACD; it would surprise me a lot if it were not.
