C. Ayado vcl & p & B3, Y. Etoh ds, T. Sugimoto b, M. Hino tap, Anointy Mass Choir, ewe 1999. Wow! What a powerful and dynamic voice this little lady has got! She sings fourteen songs from gospel (Amazing Grace, You`ve got a friend) to pop (New York state of mind, Rout 66, Let it be) to jazz (Everything must change, Mr. Bojangles). Most time she is accompanied just by herself, but listen to Bye Bye Blackbird, when she is backed by drums solely! Great! And there`s no doubt, you`ve got the best version ever of Fever here, if you love jazz. Her interpretations of the well known stuff and her singing are rising the goose-pimples from the first note. What a feeling for the music! Whatever the price, this disc is a must for every music lover. The sound is perfect, rich of colour, very good soundstage and imaging, air for the instruments and the singer to breath, very dynamic, brilliant. Reference.
