I was a bit sceptical to purchase such an old recording at this rather high price but I wanted "Le tombeau de Couperin". I cannot praise this recording enough. I'm not really a fan of mid 20th century works but the fantasy ... more
Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue - Fiedler        (3 of 5 found this review helpful)
  June 15, 2005

This is a fair record with an attracting set of Gershwin famoust's pieces. I found the Concerto in F particularly well interpreted and with a better sound than in the "Rhapsody in Blue" and "An american in Paris". The balance between the piano and the orchestra is excellent in all the tracks. ... more
