Brahms four symphonies are my favorite symphonies. I identify with them deeply. I feel that they speak to me. I feel the composer strongly when I listen to them. These four symphonies have been the source of so much joy in my life. I return to them again and again.

I have been deeply impressed with everything that I have heard in the re-mastered Living Stereo SACD series and this recording featuring Van Cliburn performing the Schumann Piano Concerto as well as the Beethoven Emperor Concerto just continues in this tradition of excellence.

I had not heard a Heifetz recording in over ten years. I don't remember being too impressed with his fiddle playing the first time I investigated his recordings and I must say that I was not impressed this time either.

| SACD has turned out to be a really fine medium for capturing piano recordings.
When it first came out, I thought all the extra dynamic range and multi-channel capability would be wasted on piano recordings. This has not turned out to be the case.

| Is there any chance that any of the SACD titles that were previously released on EMI Classics (that have gone out of print) will be re-released by Warner Classics?
Many of these titles were only available for a year or less before they went out of print (right around the time Warner took over EMI's Classical division).

| I listened to this disc last night and could not help but stand and applaud afterward.
