As JW points out this recording continues a fine tradition of superior quality recordings associated with the Eighty-Eight's label. IMHO I actually prefer these alternative takes. In particular, I really enjoy Elvin Jones performance on this album.

A very different beast compared to the Fantasy version. It does not have the "dropouts, whirling noises, swirling/panning, etc" reported by jimmyjames8.
