Yes, after you run out of concrete, scientific base for your praise of $15000 data disk readers you whip out the envy card. I never realized that the envy I feel can affect data read quality and numerical data transfere qualities of my CD/SACD transport making it worse than a high end system! If you listen to your music hammering the CD-player table this test might be the right one. I could produce a difference. You could also tweak the cheap player by placing 30 kg of stone slabs under it. There is no need to arange a listenig (blind of course) test to test transports.
