I tremble at the thought of a $1000 BD/CD/SACD/DVD/and more player after my Denon experiences. IMHO the design/manufacture of these universal players are lacking in reliability areas. "Poking around" the innards of a few and sampling a few CD's seems to indicate a marginal system. My knowledge/search for a BD player was limited to my son's player ... more | |

I've been looking at a few BD players and cannot find six analog outputs on the back, therefore, none would fit in my system (no PCM processors). PCM elves work well for the "picture show" uses, not in my audio system. Regards. ... more | |

Let's see, my vinyl and Reel to Reel stuff date back to the 60's. All my player equipment is mid level IMHO and is easily repairable, ensuring a lasting operational capability. I doubt any of this poorly designed, IMHO, Universal SACD/DVD/CD stuff (regardless of price) will live, on average, more than 5 years (> 1000 hours). Regards. ... more |
